Here is the cover for the new storybook, Don’t Fear the Reaper! Going to print soon! I had a lot of fun with this project doing a number of landscapes in addition to character illustrations.
If your a pirate or an accountant, a sailor or a janitor, the top of your field or the lowest rung on the ladder, enjoy everyday and find your adventure
I love old fashion gumshoe’s! So here’s a bit of goofy and innocent twist on the stereotype. People sometimes ask where the ideas come from. I have to say this one was pretty easy as my dog stole my shoe the other day…🤓
Our upcoming book collects a number of Cabin Fever Comic Strips, of course, but also includes several short stories! Here is a sneak peek at a rhyming story included in Small Time Shenanigans. Fans of Poe may recognize its structure as it is heavily influenced by Annabel Lee!
The Snooglie Booglie Gleefully Eyes Prospector Pete’s Untimely Demise!
It was many and many a year ago, In a cabin snuggled among the trees That an old timer there lived whom you may know By the name of Prospector Pete. This old timer he lived, he sought and he thought To prove true the ruse of the Snooglie Booglie.
I ran so wicked and wild, he pursued me for miles Far from the cabin snuggled among the trees. It was there that I eyed his untimely demise I and my Prospector Pete With grit and with guile we danced and we Danced he and me. And this was the reason that, long ago Far from the cabin snuggled among the trees
A full moon did alight and light up the night Leading the way for the brave Prospector Pete Flying his sled so fast and so free Over snow and Ice and overflow bleak! Chasing the lore of the Snooglie Booglie Far from the cabin snuggled among the trees
Nature, ever so clever, played one hand better Ending the game for he and for me Yes that was the reason (as all can see Far from the cabin snuggled among the trees) That the ice opened wide and swallowed his life Thrilling and chilling my Prospector Pete
But that game it goes on long after that life is gone Contrary to the mythos of those older than we And to the wisdom of those far wiser than we The man did arise gliding in and out of moonlight More than alright was he, he was Prospector Pete Chasing the lore of the Snooglie Booglie Far from the cabin snuggled among the trees
Each flake of the snow whispers the woe Fallen on Prospector Pete And the Northern Lights illumine the nights I ride with Prospector Pete He’s faster than ever, than Nature more clever Our chase never severed nor wilted nor weathered The game it goes on and on and on We dance on and on and on and on.
