Shell Shocked

Squirrelly’s flashback. One of the fun things about this project is coming up with images for their speech bubbles. It leaves a bit open for interpretation. Trying to capture more of the essence of their conversation rather than the specific points you can make with words. In this case “duck” and “coo-coo.” 😜

The “High Art” of Cartooning!

Some people, and gallery’s, feel that comics and cartoons are not worthy of being considered “real” art. This is a piece I did recently to remind me, if no one else, that a drawing is a drawing no matter what the approach or style. No matter if you’re approach is more based is realism or more caricatured the principles are the same. Each makes use of line, value, perspective, etc. The only difference is are the proportions you choose to employ. So celebrate the “high art” of cartooning! 🥳

Misanthrope!

An old piece that will be featured in an upcoming project! 🤓

Trapper Doodle!

Working on a new book about drawing and this will be one of many pieces included within those pages.
