David is the creator of the Alaskan webcomic Cabin Fever, author and illustrator of several books, and the mind behind Curmudgeon County Collectables.
Growing up in Alaska he discovered early in life the joys of exploring the outdoors under the northern lights and the midnight sun. He also discovered mosquitoes, bears, sunburn and Bigfoot……okay, Bigfoot’s debatable. While recovering from the joys of the outdoors he happened upon his favorite pastimes, drawing and daydreaming!
He is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, a closet musician, and a big fan of pizza!
This black and white watercolor portrait is mixed with an abstract splash that makes this beautiful girl intense! The splashes of red, pink, green, and blue stand as a sharp contrast to the classical beauty! Adding a wild, untethered, and unearthly quality to this artwork. Black scribbles and splashes of ink adds an edgy quality that really makes it pop! Mixed together these qualities create a unique work that is more than just a portrait. It’s a summation of the experience of our youth. Troubling, dark days blend with bright hope for the future and erratic bursts of life where the world is so exciting it sets every nerve on fire! Check it out on our store!
