David is the creator of the Alaskan webcomic Cabin Fever, author and illustrator of several books, and the mind behind Curmudgeon County Collectables.
Growing up in Alaska he discovered early in life the joys of exploring the outdoors under the northern lights and the midnight sun. He also discovered mosquitoes, bears, sunburn and Bigfoot……okay, Bigfoot’s debatable. While recovering from the joys of the outdoors he happened upon his favorite pastimes, drawing and daydreaming!
He is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, a closet musician, and a big fan of pizza!
We’re sharing a little Cabin Fever classic today to celebrate our BIG news! *insert drum roll please* Do you want want more Curmudgeon County? More artwork, more conversations, more interaction? Well now you have it! Just follow along on Twitter where you can hear random thoughts, rants and raves, and ridiculous updates! Cuz “we all have absolutely nothing to say and we’ve got to talk to someone about it right now.” -Seinfeld. So swing by and check it out, talk to the artist, and have a little wine and cheese. It’ll be a blast!
It’s just another day at the office this week! Work isn’t always what we dreamed it would be, but when life gives you lemons….feel free to make a face as you choke them down. So enjoy the weekend, cuz Monday is just around the corner!
Looking on the bright side on this beautiful autumn day! I was really in the mood to do a bit of a landscape and to see the mountains. For those who are familiar with our book Small Time Shenanigans you’ll notice that this comic takes place in the same world and around a location spoken of a number of times in that book, Dixon City High!
Welcome to our latest project! Clean Up Crew Comic! Follow along with these three janitors at Dixon City High through their small town shenanigans and otherworldly adventures!
Continuing our Coloring Calvin and Hobbes series! We’re picking some of the classic daily strips and adding a little color, in various styles, to pay tribute to this wondrous comic by Bill Watterson. So pull out your old C&H comic books, grab some colored pencils, crayons, or markers and join us on this journey! Don’t have a C&H comic book? No problem, all the strips are available online, just click the link to find Calvin and Hobbes on GoComics! This week is one of my all time favorites! No dialog, but the expressions say it all. That last panel is absolutely adorable!
